Gas Safety Certificates
The Gas Safety Regulations (Installation and Use) 1998 places legal duties on landlords and letting agents to ensure the safety of gas fittings and appliances in rental properties.
Under these regulations, landlords must maintain the safety of the following, and arrange an annual inspection to ensure they are in working order and there are no leaks:
- Gas appliances
- Pipework leading to gas appliances
- Flues from gas appliances
